"We're gonna need backup," Martin said, eyeing the giant scorpion. He strummed his inkcaster.
A glimmer of Archimedes materialized. "I say, is that my fellow owl enthusiast, Archazia?"
"Yes." Martin pointed with Archazia's inkcaster. "Distract that while we try to free her!"
The smaller owl hooted, then zipped around the scorpion. The colossus lumbered in chase, slipping wildly on the marble.
